Colmic WTF 999

Colmic WTF 999 is a series of barbless hooks designed for carp fisheries and for handling large fish. It belongs to the loose hook family and is placed in the manufacturer's Nuclear range. The series combines a PTFE finish, a carbon steel construction and a wide gape to work with natural baits and pellets.

What it is for

This series is designed for sessions where holding power and clean penetration in the fish's mouth are required. The absence of a barb makes unhooking easier, while the slightly in-turned point and wide shape support good contact during the fight. It is used in carp fisheries when the target is carp and other large fish, with baits that require a stable hook and quick hookset. The different sizes make it possible to adapt the rig to the type of bait and the size of the catch.

Features

Barbless hook for carp fisheries
PTFE finish to aid baiting and hookset entry
Wide gape for large fish
Sharpened slightly in-turned point to improve penetration and holding power
High-quality carbon steel
Available sizes from 20 to 10 to choose the most suitable gauge for the rig

In the range available on Pescaloccasione, Colmic WTF 999 offers multiple sizes to cover different rigs, from more selective fish to sessions dedicated to large fish. The series is chosen according to bait, fish size and fishing setup.

Frequently asked questions

How do you choose the right size of Colmic WTF 999?	The choice depends on the bait, the size of the fish and the rig you want to use. Smaller sizes are suited to more compact baits, while larger ones work better with bigger baits and larger fish.
What type of fishing is this hook used for?	The series is designed for carp fisheries and for targeting large fish. Its shape and finish make it suitable for rigs with natural baits and pellets.
What is the difference compared with other hooks in the same series?	The size changes, and therefore the wire diameter and overall bulk of the hook. This makes it possible to adapt the rig response to different baits and fishing conditions.
Does it require any special maintenance?	After use, it is advisable to rinse and dry the hooks, especially if they have been in contact with dirty water or bait residue. This helps preserve the finish and keep the point in good condition.
