VMC 9290 Faultless Baitholder

The VMC 9290 Faultless Baitholder is a single hook from VMC’s 9290 series, designed for rigging natural baits. It belongs to the hooks family for livebait and allround fishing, with a structure engineered to keep the bait secure during the fishing action.

What it is for

This hook is made for techniques with worms and other natural baits that require a stable hold on the hook. The double barb on the shank keeps the bait in position and limits movement during casting and retrieval. In freshwater fishing, it is used when the bait needs to be presented neatly, with a clean and consistent setup. Anglers using soft baits find in this model a simple solution to keep the rig firmly in place and work precisely with the most common presentations in the category.

Features

Double barb on the shank to lock the bait in place.
Series designed for worm fishing and natural baits.
Single hook from the livebait/allround line.
BZ (Bronze) finish available on the series variants.

At Pescaloccasione you will find the VMC 9290 Faultless Baitholder series in the different available sizes, so you can choose the format best suited to the bait and the presentation you want to achieve.

Frequently asked questions

How do I choose the right size of the VMC 9290 Faultless Baitholder?	The size should be chosen according to the bait size and the presentation you want to achieve. Available sizes range from 1/0 to 8, so you can go from bulkier rigs to smaller solutions.
What is the purpose of the double barb on the shank?	It helps keep the bait more firmly on the hook. It is useful when working with worms or other natural baits that tend to slip during casting or while fishing.
Which techniques is this hook used for?	The series is suitable for worm-fishing and for use with natural baits in livebait and allround fishing. It is made for anglers looking for a simple, stable hook suitable for neat rigs.
What is the difference between the series variants?	The variants differ in size and weight. The structure remains the same, with BZ finish and a pack of 10 pieces across all listed models.
Does it require any special maintenance?	After use, it is advisable to rinse and dry the hook, especially if it has been exposed to water and moisture. This helps keep the finish and the rig’s functionality in good condition.
