Madcat Spin Tail

Madcat Spin Tail is a hard bait lure from the jig and spin jig family for catfish fishing. It combines an ABS weighted body, a rotating blade and a textured surface to work in the water with controlled balance and a pronounced movement. The range includes two weights and several finishes, so the angler can choose the version best suited to the casting style and to reading the water column.

What it is for

This lure is designed for spinning and jigging when you need a compact but highly visible bait capable of sinking steadily and maintaining a readable action during the retrieve. The weighted body makes it work higher and slower than a traditional spin jig. In practice it offers a more manageable swim and a clear response in situations where the predator follows without deciding immediately. The two attachment eyes allow it to be used in different ways, depending on whether you need to cast and retrieve or present it vertically.

Features

Weighted ABS body for a slower, higher action in the water.
Dual attachment point: one for casting and spinning, one for jigging.
Golf ball effect surface, designed to create more turbulence.
Equipped with 3X strong treble hook, in sizes #2 or #1/0.
Range available in 35 g and 70 g versions.
Available finishes: Roach, Glow in the Dark, Perch and Firetiger UV.

The Madcat Spin Tail range is part of the Pescaloccasione selection as a dedicated solution for those looking for a catfish lure with a clear technical setup. The series variants cover different casting and presentation needs while maintaining the same basic structure.

Frequently asked questions

How do you choose between 35 g and 70 g?	The choice depends on casting distance and the working depth you want to cover. The 35 g version is lighter, while the 70 g version offers more mass and more inertia during casting and retrieval.
Is it only used for spinning?	No. The series has two attachment eyes: one for casting and spinning and one for jigging. This makes it suitable for both horizontal retrieve and vertical presentation.
What distinguishes this lure from a traditional spin jig?	The weighted ABS body makes it work a little larger, slower and higher in the water. The golf ball effect surface adds turbulence and helps make it more noticeable.
What rigging does it come with?	The series is equipped with a 3X strong treble hook. The sizes indicated by the manufacturer are #2 or #1/0, depending on the version.
