What it is for

This accessory holds the maggots and keeps them in conditions more suitable for use while fishing. The perforated mesh allows the bait to breathe and reduces the risk of overheating on hot days. It is used in many techniques, from match fishing to feeder, from float fishing to carpfishing, as well as in situations such as boat, small boat, bank fishing, sea fishing from shore, surf casting and river trout fishing.
