Berkley PowerBait Pulse Shad

Berkley PowerBait Pulse Shad is a soft bait from the soft lure family. It combines a realistic profile and an active tail to imitate a baitfish convincingly during the retrieve.

What it is for

This lure is designed for predator fishing in freshwater and works well when a natural but effective presentation is needed. The baitfish shape and tail action create a lively movement that attracts the fish’s attention. The PowerBait treatment adds the scent and taste component indicated by the manufacturer, so the lure stays in the fish’s mouth longer after the strike. It is used on jighead and dropshot rigs, two very common solutions for covering different spots, variable depths and slow or controlled retrieves.

Features

Body with a realistic baitfish silhouette.
Tail designed to produce continuous action on the retrieve.
PowerBait scent indicated by the manufacturer.
Suitable for mounting on jighead.
Suitable for dropshot rigging.
Series available in multiple lengths and colours, so you can choose the variant based on the situation and the rig profile.

The range available on Pescaloccasione includes the different sizes and colourways of the series, so you can choose the most suitable model for the type of lure you want to present and the fishing context.

Frequently asked questions

How do you choose the right size of the PowerBait Pulse Shad?	The choice depends on the lure profile you want to present and the fishing context. Smaller sizes are used when you need a discreet lure, while larger ones are better when you want to increase visual presence and bulk.
Which rigs is this lure used on?	The manufacturer indicates use on jighead and dropshot rig. These are two very common setups for making a soft bait work properly in a controlled way.
What distinguishes the variants in the series?	The variants differ in length and colour. The lure structure stays the same, while the size and shade let you adapt the presentation to the fishing situation.
Do you need any special gear to use it?	You need a rig suitable for soft lures, especially a jighead or a dropshot setup. The rest depends on the usual tackle used for predator fishing.
What maintenance does it require?	After use, simply store it properly and keep it separate from lures or accessories that could deform it. As with all soft baits, it is best kept clean and away from excessive heat.
