Ragot Gaff

Ragot Gaff is a sport fishing gaff designed for securing and landing fish in the final stage. It belongs to the family of net accessories and sits among the tools used when landing with a landing net is not enough or not practical. The structure combines a telescopic aluminum handle and a removable stainless steel hook with plastic protection.

What it is for

This type of tool is used to handle fish near the boat, the shore, or the fishing station when a direct and quick grip point is needed. The gaff comes into play in the final stage of the hook set and landing, where the angler must maintain control, precision, and orderly movements. The telescopic handle allows the length to be adjusted according to the working distance, while the stainless steel hook provides a grip designed for use in the fishing environment. It is a useful accessory for anglers who fish technically and want a simple tool to handle and store.

Features

Telescopic aluminum handle to adapt the extension to the working point.
Removable stainless steel hook with plastic protection.
Belt clip to keep it always within reach.
Series available in an adjustable size from 120 to 220 cm.
Lightweight 500 g for easier use while moving.
2-section structure for simple handling while fishing and transporting.

The Ragot Gaff range offered by Pescaloccasione includes the available variant of this series, with useful data for evaluating size and equipment. It is a solution to consider when you need a fishing gaff with adjustable extension and easy-to-manage components.

Frequently asked questions

What is a fishing gaff like Ragot Gaff used for?	It is used to grab and control the fish in the final stage of landing. It is used when a direct grip point is needed near the boat, shore, or fishing station.
How do you choose the right size?	The distance between the angler and the fish at the moment of landing matters. In this series the size is adjustable from 120 to 220 cm, so it adapts to different working situations.
What makes this gaff different from a landing net?	The gaff works with a hook, not a net. It is used for a more direct grip and for technical landing in spaces and conditions where a landing net is not the most practical solution.
What should be checked before use?	The locking of the telescopic sections and the attachment of the removable hook should be checked. It is also useful to inspect the plastic protection and the presence of the belt clip.
What maintenance does it require?	After use, it is advisable to rinse and dry the components, especially the stainless steel hook. The removable part and the correct sliding of the telescopic handle should be checked regularly.
