Hardy was founded in 1872 in Alnwick, in the north of England, and for more than 150 years has been building fly rods and fly reels. It is one of the historic names in fly fishing and today it is part of the Pure Fishing group.
Hardy fly rods cover streams, lakes, rivers and saltwater: Marksman and Marksman Z, Firecrest, Tactus in its dry fly and nymphing versions, Ultralite NSX single and double handed, and the Aydon family in single handed, double handed, switch and travel versions. Each series comes in several lengths and line weights.
The Heritage series, built in Alnwick, brings back the reels that made the brand's history: 1912 Perfect, 1921 Wide Spool Perfect and 1939 Bougle. Alongside them are the modern reels: Cascapedia MkV, Sovereign, Fortuna Regent, Zane Carbon, Marquis LWT, Bros Lightweight, Resonate and the Averon family (also in Streamer, Euro and cassette versions). Spare spools are available for many series.
The range is completed by caps, T-shirts, a UPF hoodie and fishing shirt, and a neoprene reel case.
