Maver Mulinello Active 5.000

The Maver Mulinello Active 5.000 is a fishing reel from the Active series, designed to cover several techniques with a single reel body. It belongs to the family of sport fishing reels and sits in the product range used for shore and boat applications, with a configuration aimed at smooth retrieve and line management.

What it is for

This reel is made for anglers who work with different techniques without changing gear on every outing. The manufacturer lists it for surfcasting, beach ledgering, shore fishing, feeder and carpfishing, as well as other uses such as boat fishing, boat rod, shore rod, spinning and catfish and sturgeon fishing. The conical aluminium spool reduces the diameter of the coils on the cast and limits friction on the first ring. The anti twist roller handles nylon and braided lines well, keeping the line tidier during retrieve and the strike.

Features

11 bearings for smooth, continuous retrieve
Conical aluminium spool to help casting distance
Anti Twist line roller with anti-corrosion treatment
Match spool supplied, suitable for surfcasting and feeder
Option to fit an optional Deep spool for carpfishing and shore fishing
Screw In Handle crank screwed directly into the main gear

The Active series is part of the Maver range dedicated to reels for different techniques. At Pescaloccasione you will find solutions from the same line designed for different needs, so you can choose the model best suited to the type of fishing you do most often.

Frequently asked questions

Which techniques is the Maver Mulinello Active 5.000 designed for?	The manufacturer lists it for surfcasting, beach ledgering, shore fishing, feeder and carpfishing. It also mentions boat fishing, boat rod, shore rod, spinning and catfish and sturgeon fishing.
What changes in the choice compared with other reels in the same series?	This sheet highlights a size 5.000 with equipment focused on versatility. The choice therefore depends on the main technique and on the use of the supplied Match spool or the optional Deep spool.
What advantage does the conical aluminium spool offer?	The conical spool reduces the diameter of the coils during the cast. This limits line friction on the first ring and helps the line come off more smoothly.
Is the line roller also suitable for braided lines?	Yes. The manufacturer lists the Anti Twist roller as suitable for both nylon monofilament and braided lines, with anti-corrosion treatment.
What maintenance does it require?	It requires the usual care for a fishing reel: cleaning after use and attention to components exposed to water. The roller with anti-corrosion treatment helps manage wear related to use.
