VMC 7318NE Offset Cheboo®

VMC 7318NE Offset Cheboo® is an offset hook dedicated to the Cheburashka technique and softbait fishing in weedless setups. It belongs to the family of hooks for soft baits and is designed to work with rigs where the bait must move freely while remaining firmly fixed and presented neatly.

What it is for

This hook is used when you need to present a softbait in areas with lots of snags, vegetation or dense cover. The offset geometry and extra large eye make it suitable for the Cheburashka rig, while the Resin Keeper keeps the bait in the correct position even after several strikes. It is a solution designed for anglers targeting predators such as pike, perch and zander who want a stable, clean rig suited to working close to the bottom or through obstacles.

Features

  • Hook dedicated to the Cheburashka technique and weedless rigs.
  • Extra large eye to optimize softbait movement.
  • PTFE coating to reduce friction on the hookset.
  • Micro Barb and Super Long Needle SharpTM point for effective penetration.
  • Resin Keeper to keep the bait in position after multiple bites.
  • Series available in multiple sizes and weights, so you can choose the model according to the bait and the required control.

On Pescaloccasione, the VMC 7318NE Offset Cheboo® series is offered in the size variants provided by the manufacturer, so it can cover different rigs with the same hook type. The model choice depends on the softbait size, the rig weight and the type of fishing you want to set up.

Frequently asked questions

How do I choose the right size for the VMC 7318NE Offset Cheboo®?The size should be chosen based on the softbait size and the rig you want to achieve. Larger variants are used with bulkier baits, while smaller ones are suited to compact or slimmer softbaits.
What type of rig is this hook used on?It is designed for the Cheburashka technique and weedless softbait setups. The extra large eye makes the rig work better and improves the bait movement.
What is the difference compared with a traditional offset hook? This series is specifically designed for the Cheburashka rig. It offers a larger eye, the Resin Keeper and details intended to keep the bait stable and promote penetration.
Which fishing techniques is it suitable for?It is used for predator fishing with soft baits, especially where an anti-snag rig is needed. It is suitable for working near cover, vegetation and structure.
Does it require any special maintenance?A normal check after use is enough, especially if the hook has worked around obstacles or along the bottom. Check the point and gape, and replace it if the hookset is no longer clean.
