Madcat A-Static Shad Hook 6X

Madcat A-Static Shad Hook 6X is a single hook from the terminal tackle family, designed for use with soft lures. The series was created for catfish fishing and belongs to the loose hooks used when a clean, precise and stable shad rig is needed.

What it is for

This hook keeps the lure in the correct position thanks to the two spikes that lock its alignment. In use, it stays properly oriented during the retrieve and, during the fight, it releases from the shad. The result is a rig designed for catfish, where bait control matters as much as hook holding power. It is used by anglers who fish with soft lure and want a specific solution for rigs dedicated to catfish fishing in freshwater or in situations where the soft bait must work in a straight, linear way.

Features

Single hook for soft baits.
Two spikes to keep the rig correctly aligned.
6X strong structure for catfish fishing.
High-quality Japanese steel.
A-STATIC finish.
Series available in multiple hook sizes to match the rig to the lure and fishing conditions.

At Pescaloccasione you can find the Madcat A-Static Shad Hook 6X series in the available variants, with different sizes to choose the most suitable rig for soft lure and the type of fishing you need to set up.

Frequently asked questions

How do I choose the right size of the Madcat A-Static Shad Hook 6X?	The series is available in three sizes: 5/0, 7/0 and 9/0. The choice depends on the soft bait you need to rig and on the fishing profile you want to achieve.
What is the two-spike shape for?	The two spikes keep the hook in the correct position on the soft bait. During the fight the hook releases from the shad, so the rig remains designed for catfish fishing.
What type of lure is it used on?	The series is designed for soft lure, especially shads. It is a single hook designed for this type of rig.
What makes this series different from nearby sizes?	The hook size changes, so the overall rig bulk and the match with the lure also change. The series construction remains the same, with A-STATIC finish and 6X strong build.
Does it require special maintenance?	The manufacturer’s sheet does not mention any specific maintenance. As with fishing hooks, it is good practice to check sharpness and the condition of the metal after use.
